Don’t look back

Most of the times, we realize that all that we think of the day long, is either about ‘the past’ or ‘the future’.
We think about things like, “How this happened?” or “Why did that happen to me?” or “Did it happen for good?”
Or simply, we spend our precious time thinking about the happy and sad times that occurred in our lives.
And the other times, we think about the future like, “When will this happen?” or “How long will it take?” or planning things well-in-advance.

And if you and I think carefully we can conclude that all of these junk thoughts aren’t fruitful at all. They contribute almost “null” in our life. While on the second side of the coin : They rob our most important treasure: our time.
We fail to enjoy our present, our today.
We stop experiencing the joy of little things around us that we can/do encounter everyday.

So, Here are a few lines that should be remembered by all of us.
Read on :

As you travel through life there are always those times
When decisions just have to be made,
When the choices are hard, and solutions seem scarce,
And the rain seems to soak your parade.

There are some situations where all you can do
Is simply let go and move on,
Gather your courage and choose a direction
That carries you towards a new dawn.

Perhaps you’ll find comfort in knowing your friends
Are supportive of all that you do,
And believe that whatever decisions you make,
They’ll be the right choices for you.

So keep putting one foot in front of the other,
And taking your life day by day…
There’s a brighter tomorrow that’s just down the road –
Don’t look back! You’re not going that way!
wink

  1. There are many such poems and essays which inspire you to forget your dark past and move toward the future yet, there exist people in this world who have to face problems because of their past. you certainly cant run away from the shadow of your past. All that is to say, it will affect you but its up to you how you cope up.
